Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and billing work for Turbox subscriptions and add-on purchases.
1. Subscription Cancellations
1.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Dashboard: Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription
- Email: Contact support@turbox.com with your account email
1.2 Cancellation Effect
When you cancel your subscription:
- ✅ Service continues until the end of your current billing period
- ✅ No further charges will be made
- ✅ Full access to all features until billing period ends
- ❌ No refund for the current billing period (see Section 2)
- ❌ No rollover of unused replies to future periods
Example: If you pay $29 on January 1st and cancel on January 15th, you'll have access until January 31st with no refund.
1.3 What Happens After Cancellation
At the end of your billing period:
- Your account will revert to the FREE tier (50 replies/month, 1 active query)
- Your queries and settings will be preserved
- Queries exceeding FREE tier limits will be automatically paused
- You can reactivate your subscription at any time
1.4 Reactivating Subscription
To reactivate:
- Go to Account Settings → Subscription → Choose Plan
- Your previous queries and data will be restored
- Billing starts immediately with a full month charge
2. Refund Policy
2.1 General Policy
Subscriptions are non-refundable. All subscription fees are charged in advance for the full billing period and are not prorated or refunded for:
- ❌ Partial month usage
- ❌ Early cancellation
- ❌ Change of mind
- ❌ Unused replies or features
- ❌ Service dissatisfaction
This no-refund policy applies to all subscription tiers: FREE, STARTER, PRO, and SCALE.
2.2 Exceptions
We MAY provide refunds at our sole discretion in the following exceptional circumstances:
Technical Issues (within 7 days of charge)
- Service was completely unavailable due to our technical failure
- Critical features were non-functional
- You were unable to access the Service due to our error
Billing Errors
- You were charged incorrectly due to our system error
- Duplicate charges occurred
- You were charged after canceling with proper notice
Fraudulent Charges
- Unauthorized charges on your account
- Identity theft or fraud
2.3 How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for a refund exception:
1. Email support@turbox.com within 14 days of the charge
2. Include:
- Your account email
- Date of charge
- Reason for refund request
- Supporting documentation (screenshots, error messages, etc.)
3. We will review and respond within 5 business days
Important: Refund requests after 14 days will not be considered.
2.4 Refund Processing
If approved:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Processing time: 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)
- Stripe processing fees are non-refundable
- Your subscription will be immediately canceled
3. Add-On Packs
3.1 No Refunds on Add-Ons
Add-on packs (+100, +300, +500 replies) are non-refundable once purchased. This includes:
- ❌ Unused add-on replies
- ❌ Change of mind
- ❌ Accidental purchases
- ❌ Early cancellation of base subscription
Reason: Add-ons are one-time purchases that immediately increase your usage capacity for the current billing period.
3.2 Add-On Expiration
- Add-ons are valid until the end of your billing month
- Unused add-on replies do not roll over to the next month
- If you cancel your subscription, unused add-on replies are forfeited
Example: You buy +300 replies on January 15th and use 150. The remaining 150 expire on January 31st with no refund.
4. Upgrades and Downgrades
4.1 Upgrading Your Plan
When you upgrade to a higher tier mid-billing cycle:
- ✅ Prorated charge for the new tier
- ✅ Immediate access to new features and limits
- ✅ Credit applied for unused time on old tier
Example:
- On January 1st, you pay $29 for STARTER
- On January 15th, you upgrade to PRO ($79/month)
- You're charged: $79 - ($29 × 16 days remaining / 31 days) = ~$64
- You get immediate access to PRO features
4.2 Downgrading Your Plan
When you downgrade to a lower tier:
- ✅ No immediate charge
- ✅ Current tier continues until end of billing period
- ✅ New tier starts at next renewal
- ❌ No credit or refund for unused features
Example:
- You're on PRO ($79/month) paid on January 1st
- On January 15th, you downgrade to STARTER
- You keep PRO features until January 31st
- On February 1st, you're charged $29 for STARTER
5. Failed Payments
5.1 Payment Failure Process
If your payment fails:
1. Day 1: Automatic retry + email notification
2. Day 3: Second retry + warning email
3. Day 7: Final retry + final warning
4. Day 10: Account downgraded to FREE tier
5.2 Reactivation After Failed Payment
To reactivate:
- Update your payment method in Account Settings
- Resume subscription (charged immediately)
- No backdated charges for inactive period
6. Account Deletion
6.1 Deleting Your Account
If you delete your account:
- ❌ No refunds for remaining subscription time
- ❌ No refunds for unused replies or add-ons
- ⚠️ All data permanently deleted within 30 days
- ⚠️ Cannot be recovered after deletion
Before deleting: Consider canceling instead (keeps your account and data, reverts to FREE tier).
6.2 Deletion Process
1. Go to Account Settings → Delete Account
2. Confirm deletion (requires password)
3. Receive confirmation email
4. Data deleted within 30 days
7. X/Twitter Account Issues
7.1 No Refunds for X/Twitter Problems
We do NOT provide refunds if you experience issues with your X/Twitter account, including but not limited to:
- ❌ Account suspended or banned
- ❌ Rate limiting or API restrictions
- ❌ Shadow banning or reduced visibility
- ❌ Feature restrictions by X/Twitter
- ❌ Loss of X/Twitter API access
Reason: These issues are outside our control and are governed by X/Twitter's policies (see Terms of Service, Section 3).
7.2 Your Responsibility
You acknowledge that:
- Automation carries inherent risks with X/Twitter
- You use the Service at your own risk
- We are not responsible for X/Twitter's actions
- You should monitor your X/Twitter account status
8. Dispute Resolution
8.1 Chargebacks
If you file a chargeback with your bank:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- We will provide transaction documentation to your bank
- If the chargeback is reversed, a $25 administrative fee applies
- Repeated chargebacks may result in permanent ban
Instead of chargebacks: Contact us first at support@turbox.com to resolve billing disputes.
8.2 Disputed Charges
For legitimate billing disputes:
1. Contact support@turbox.com within 14 days
2. Provide transaction details and reason
3. We'll investigate within 5 business days
4. If valid, we'll issue a refund or credit
9. Force Majeure and Service Disruptions
9.1 Third-Party Outages
We are NOT liable and do NOT provide refunds for service disruptions caused by:
- X/Twitter API outages or changes
- Stripe payment system issues
- Firebase/Google Cloud outages
- Internet service provider problems
- Your own connectivity issues
9.2 Extended Outages
If the Service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault, you may request a prorated credit for the downtime.
10. Enterprise and Custom Plans
For SCALE tier ($199/month) or custom enterprise plans:
- Custom refund terms may apply (specified in your agreement)
- Standard refund policy applies unless otherwise stated in writing
- Contact support@turbox.com for enterprise-specific terms
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be:
- Posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Communicated via email for material changes
- Effective 30 days after notification
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
